The effort raised $42,000 toward NSF’s efforts to support innovative, creative programs and initiatives in the Newton Public Schools. Opera on the House, the New England Conservatory, and the Children’s Cooperative Nursery School present “Little Red’s Most Unusual Day”, an operatic version of the classic children’s fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood.

The goal of the Newton Cantonese School is to teach the Cantonese dialect, reading and writing of the Chinese language, and the Chinese culture.
