All That Jazz is still accepting students for the 2020-2021 school year. They are offering limited in-person dance classes, as well as live online classes over Zoom 7 days/week for ages 2-18.

While employing rigid safety protocols, at the same time, they’re allowing kids to have an important outlet for their social and emotional well-being. J All Day – In-Person Care for Remote Learning Days

Get your kids out of the house and into J All Day, an in-person program for remote learning days at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC. Choose three or five days a week from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm, create routine by helping your children through asynchronous assignments and keep them moving through outdoor activities.

Duer McLanahan is available to tutor Preschool – Grade 12 in English, Mandarin, General Curriculum,  and/or SEL (Social Emotional Learning). He’ll coordinate communication with your child’s teachers in order to provide most appropriate, timely teaching strategies and lesson planning and will utilize caring, patience, empathy, physical exercises, Covid-19 era consoling creative play in addition to other approaches.

Newton SEPAC is a volunteer organization of parents of children with special needs from preschool through high school. They run an online Google Group – Newton SEPAC – where parents can ask other parents about special education programs, issues, policies, and resources, sponsor monthly informational meetings and work directly with the school administration regarding our children’s education. The group is in need of a parent representative for the following schools. Boys and Girls Club’s full day Out-of-School Time Program

Registration is open and space is filling up fast for the Club’s full day Out-of-School Time Program. They offer parents in grades K-5 the peace of mind that comes with knowing that their children are safely cared for as they complete their remote schooling.

The Club is fully air conditioned throughout and there is now a gig speed Wi-Fi set up that can service hundreds of children simultaneously as they complete their online lessons. Their five day program provides two half days of coverage and three full days of coverage followed by enriching activities during the after-school hours and they’re prepared to be fully operational on the first day of school.

The West Suburban YMCA is Hiring!
The Y has an immediate need for Youth Group Leaders for the Fall 2020 Out of School Time program. Youth Group Leaders will provide academic support and facilitate enrichment opportunities for K-8 students enrolled in the Y’s Out of School Time program. Out of School Time Grades K-8 Program begins September 21st.
This fall the Y’s Out of School Time (OST) program is offering a full day program from 7:45 am – 5:00 pm to support distance learning and complement the Newton Public Schools schedule. Families have the option to enroll their child for 5 days, 3 days, or 2 days per week. The EEC-certified Out of School Time program provides academic support, study strategies, and structured routine, as well as opportunities for physical activities and enrichment activities.
