Summer Music Lessons with School of Rock
School of Rock in Watertown is offering summer music lessons and camps for children ages 7-18.
One-week camps run Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm and include performance boot camp and a Beatles performance camp.

There are still a few spots open for the Newton Youth Players’ summer theatre program production of “Oliver!”.
The first rehearsal will take place on June 27th at Newton City Hall in the War Memorial Auditorium. Rehearsals are from 9:00 a.m. – noon, giving ample time to work on choreography, scenery and props production. For those looking for a full day of theatrical experience, there is a wonderful companion afternoon program “Choices” from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Directed by Marlene Fereshetian and Ruth Housman, it is an original story building program, using music, humor, magic, dance and art. Newton Community Farm Seeking Students for High School Summer Intern Program
Newton Community Farm (303 Nahanton Street, Newton) is now accepting inquiries for our High School Summer Intern program. Summer internships are unpaid opportunities for high school students to learn about organic and community farming in a fun, friendly environment. No experience is necessary, just a desire to learn and work hard. Minimum requirement for the internship is 8AM to 12PM, two days per week for two weeks, but can expand up to five days per week (Tuesday through Saturday) for as many weeks as you like. Summer Camp Fair, Jan. 27
The City of Newton is sponsoring its yearly summer camp fair on Sunday January 27, at Newton North High School from noon to 4pm.
Camps run by Newton Parks & Recreation and the Newton Public Schools, including Newton Community Education and SPACE camp, will be represented at the fair.

Summer Music Explorers: For Ages 5-8
The Summer Music Explorers Program at the All Newton Music School is tailored to children’s individual interests. The students expand their music, acting, and art skills, while socializing in a small group environment. Outdoor play is included in the day, faculty/counselor to student ratio is 1:6. Five week-long sessions offered. Monday-Friday from 8:45 am – 3:00 pm.
