Rhythmic gymnastics, dance, and ballet
Rhythmic Dreams is pleased to offer a full day February vacation program (February 17th- 21st) focusing on teaching rhythmic gymnastics, dance and ballet to girls ages 5 to 18. Full day (8:30 am – 5:00 pm) or half day (4 hours morning or afternoon) are available.
The program will include flexibility and strength training, apparatus handling with balls, hoops, ribbons, ropes and clubs and basic dance and ballet technique. Two workouts each day complemented by free time, games, arts and crafts during the lunch break. All levels of experience are welcome! Classes are held in the West Newton Armory. Registration for new and returning players for NSELL ‘s Spring 2014 season is open through February 14th. NSELL runs several programs in the spring, including T-ball (kindergarten and younger), Farm (1st and 2nd Grade), and Minors (AA and AAA) and Majors. Unlike previous years, where a child had to live in the NSELL district, any child who lives or attends a school within the district bounded by Angier, Bowen, Countryside, Mason-Rice, Memorial Spaulding, and Zervas is eligible to play in our league, whether they live in the NSELL district or not.

Newton North Little League Baseball Registration OPEN
Newton North Little League serves children from ages 4-12 who reside in the School Districts of Horace Mann, Lincoln Elliot, and Underwood. Children from any district who attend schools located in the district are also eligible to play. Pre-School, Private and Middle school children who fall within the allowed age groups are also welcome to play.

Waltham Track Club – Spring Season Registration
Spring/summer registrations will be held on Sunday, March 2nd at 5:00 in the Kennedy Middle School indoor track. There will be a mandatory parent’s meeting for all parents whose child is new to our spring program. The program is open to anyone born in 2000-2006. Track and Field events are offered.
The spring program will begin the Monday after the April school vacation and be held every Monday and Wednesday, from 6:00-8:00, through June 10. All sessions are held at the J Lee Gould Track & Field facility at Leary Field, Bacon St in Waltham.
Newton Girls Softball registration is NOW open
Newton Girls Softball registration is underway for the 2014 spring season. This is a recreational league for over 300 Newton girls in grades 1-7. Players of all skill levels will have a fun and rewarding experience. Yoga for all
Down Under Yoga provides an environment in which children learn to exercise their minds as they move their bodies. Winter class offerings include yoga for ages 3-6, 5-7, 8-11, families, tween, and teens. Young yogis are taught practices to calm and strengthen their bodies, balance stress, and respect the needs of themselves and others. These are skills to last a lifetime which can be applied to any aspect of their daily lives. Series classes offered throughout the year. Drop-ins are welcome!
