Kesher Newton is now enrolling for this Fall!

She will design a unique lesson plan specific to your child’s interests. Possible session topics may include painting, watercolor, ink drawing, figure drawing, collage, multi-media painting, sketch-booking, clay work, book making and book binding, jewelry making (from beading to designing fine metal pieces), and sustainable crafts and sculpture.

2015 Newton Schools Foundation Honor Thy Teacher
May 4th – 8th is Teacher Appreciation Week. Say “Thank You” to the exceptional teachers and staff who motivate, educate and inspire your students to be the best they can be by participating in the Honor Thy Teacher campaign.
Newton Schools Foundation created this special program for parents to honor teachers by giving a gift in their name. You may also choose to honor a special education aide, a fine arts or music teacher, or a coach or counselor who has touched your child’s life. Suggested donation is $25 per teacher/staff member.
NSF celebrates Newton Public Schools teachers and staff by:

Evening Folk Festival
Catie Curtis, who has appeared at the White House several times, is a veteran of the singer/songwriter folk scene, touring throughout the US for 20 years and releasing 13 CDs. Her credits include touring with Lilith Fair, and winning Grand Prize in the 2006 International Songwriting Competition (out of 15,000 entries) and recording a duet with Kris Kristofferson. Her songs appear in numerous films and TV shows, and she has been called a “folk- rock goddess” by New Yorker Magazine.
