See Alastair Moock and help a Nursery School

Weekday Nursery School in Newton Highlands invites you to be part of their spring fundraising event featuring 2014 Grammy Nominee, Alastair Moock! This event will take place from 3:00 – 4:00 pm on March 30th in the Auditorium of the Newton Highlands Congregational Church located at 54 Lincoln Street, Newton Highlands.

The Boston Herald says “Singer Alastair Moock’s live show is half Appalachian hootenanny, half honky-tonk jam session. It’s totally kid-friendly…[with] an indie sensibility hip parents dig.” Alastair Moock and Friends’ live shows are rowdy, rootsy, singin’ and dancin’ fun for the whole family!

“Kosmic Kids” Creative Movement Classes

Kosmic Kids is an hour long movement class coupled with kid-friendly teachings on expression, mindfulness, community, and music appreciation. Instructor Nicole Churchill, MA, MT-BC, has combined her experience as a Board Certified Music Therapist and Movement facilitator with her trainings in psychodrama, mindfulness and meditation to offer a class where kids can joyfully move and groove, all the while learning how to express themselves in healthy, mindful ways! Classes will include a gratitude circle, expressive movement/dance, singing & percussion, dramatic play, story-telling and a cool-down time emphasizing breath, mindfulness, and self-calming techniques.

Newton Youth Players at Newton City Hall

If your child would like to be a part of an outstanding after-school youth theatre program, then Newton Youth Players could be the answer to their performing dreams! Nursery School Openings for 2014-15 in Newton

The nonsectarian Second Church Nursery School  at 60 Highland St., West Newton has a limited number of openings for 2014-15. The school has been operating continuously since 1934 and currently offers both morning preschool classes and extended afternoon sessions. Children are grouped developmentally to promote growth and enhance social, cognitive and motor skills to help them become happy and independent people.
