Fall Registration is open for Kindergarten Soccer

Since 1993, Kindergarten Soccer has been introducing children to soccer in a fun and non-competitive environment where girls and boys develop friendships, learn teamwork and gain confidence. The kids play on Saturday mornings at Richardson Field in Waban starting September 10th. Join Kindergarten Soccer and meet other families in your neighborhood!

Kindergarten Soccer is open to all children in Newton entering Kindergarten Fall 2016. They will attempt to place your child on a team with others who will attend the same elementary school.

Dinner on the Farm 2016 – Newton Community Farm is Ten Years Old and Still Growing!

Join the annual Dinner on the Farm, and enjoy a beautiful evening with fantastic food, a gorgeous view of the fields, and the company of others who share your love of your local community farm. New this year…. Chad and Sharon Burns of Farmstead Table will be treating us to dessert from the Farmstead Table kitchen.

Friends of the Farm – $75.00, Non-Friends of the Farm – $85.00

Tutor available for the summer

Need some help on preparing for a standardized test or catching up on a high school subject? Justin’s here for you! A rising senior at Newton South with three years of tutoring experience at the Russian School of Math, he works with young kids very often as a junior swim coach. His expertise is ACT math, SAT math, or any kind of math. He’s taken AP Statistics and BC Calculus and is a two time National Spanish Exam gold award winner, so can help in Spanish as well.

As a high school student without a college degree (yet), Justin doesn’t ask for much in terms of pricing; he’s not motivated by a paycheck but the opportunity to teach and make a contribution to this amazing community! Dance Studio Open House

All That Jazz is now accepting registration for the 2016-2017 school year, as well as summer classes. Musical Theater

Hey kids – Would you love a big moment on stage?! Come join the fun and get that chance! The Freelance Players, Inc., a musical theater company for youth, is now enrolling for its fall season in Newton. See www.freelanceplayers.org.

The Newton Freelance Troupe will meet after school on Mondays at the Parish of St. Paul, 1135 Walnut Street. Children ages 8-12 with little or no acting experience are encouraged to join. The Newton Freelance Troupe produces one original musical each season. The fall session starts on September 19th. Initial meeting for new members/low-key auditions are by appointment.

Physical and vocal techniques, drama improvisation, dance, auditioning, and singing are part of the rehearsal process. Theater professionals staff the company.
