Staying Engaged with your Child through the Teen Journey

Parent Workshop at the Waban Library Center

Come join an interactive workshop designed to help you better understand your child as she or he enters adolescence. Learn and practice skills that will help you communicate with your child through their tween and teen years.

Newton Turkey Trot 5K

The final count down to the Newton Turkey Trot is finally here! Join your friends and neighbors for the for the 3rd annual Newton 5K Turkey Trot for the Newton Food Pantry! The 5K is this Saturday, November 19th at 9:00 am. Kids 1 mile fun run at 8:30 am.

College Application Tutor

Do you have a senior juggling college applications? Are you looking for someone to walk them through the nuances of Common App essays, supplements, and more?

Celina Siegel,  a Newton South alum in her third-year at Oberlin College, would love to tutor your student as they navigate the college application process. She’s a cinema studies major with a background in English and a passion for editing. She has a strong track record of working with both high school and college students, especially regarding persuasive analytical writing and Common App essays.

Learn to Ski or Snowboard Program at Nashoba Valley
A second bus had been added for Fridays for grades 5–12. Learn to ski or snowboard with lessons at Nashoba Valley ski area starting January 6th.

Jones and that Meanie Jim here’s what Junie’s dilemma is this time…That meanie Jim has invited everyone in Room Nine to his birthday party on Saturday – except Junie B! Should she have her own birthday party six months early and not invite Jim? Or should she move to’It’s a Small World After All’ in Disneyland and avoid the whole kerfuffle?
