Interested in understanding more about what sophomore students at NSHS are learning in the peer-led programs “Courageous Conversations about Race”?
Faculty leaders, Gerry Gagnon (Science Department Head) and Katani Sumner (METCO Counselor & English Teacher) and student peer leaders will host a workshop and answer questions about how NSHS is supporting all students to better understand issues of race and ethnic identity and build healthy, inclusive spaces and school culture.
This program is organized by the Newton South High School FORJ team (Families Organizing for Racial Justice) and a team of teachers at South.
