October Events at Historic Newton

PRECIOUS BANE: THE MUSICAL
Saturday, October 18, 2:30PM and 4:30 PM
The Durant-Kenrick House kitchen is very like the Sarn kitchen in poet Mary Webb’s celebrated novel, Precious Bane. Imagine Wizard Beguildy’s beautiful daughter Jancis there, singing of her star-crossed love for her ruthless sweetheart Gideon Sarn! Come see a presentation of excerpts from this romantic new show, followed by a question & answer session with the composer and lyricist.
At the Durant-Kenrick House and Grounds, 286 Waverley Avenue. Free.
